💸Over £500k Headed to Braintree - Let's Make It Count!💙
Exciting news, Braintree! 🎉Braintree District Council has secured a total of £515,805 in funding for 2025/26 — with £339,081 coming from the UK Government’s Shared Prosperity Fund and £176,724 from the Rural England Prosperity Fund.
This boost is earmarked to support a wide variety of local initiatives, including:
🎨 Cultural and educational activities for children & young people.
🧠 Mental health training and wellbeing workshops for residents and businesses.
🌱 Enrichment programmes for adults with complex or special needs.
🎓 Career and employability training to help people upskill.
🎉 Holiday clubs for school-aged children.
🛍️ Business support, entrepreneurship, and innovation funding.
🛝 Play area improvements, better community facilities, and key safes for vulnerable residents.
